(SPOT.ph) Following the reopening of Siargao and Boracay, Coron in Palawan is also welcoming travelers from the National Capital Region amidst the pandemic. The municipality is accepting fully vaccinated guests from outside Palawan through a point-to-point bubble tourism policy starting on September 22. Tourism will gradually reopen, and travelers from all over the Philippines can finally fly to the island starting on November 15.

According to an executive order signed by Coron Mayor Mario Reyes, fully vaccinated travelers are allowed on the island. Unvaccinated minors should be acompanied by fully vaccinated parents, legal guardians, or elder siblings. One is considered fully vaccinated 15 days after a one-dose vaccine or 15 days after the second shot of a two-dose vaccine.
Here are the latest Coron travel requirements for non-Palaweños (as of September 22):
- Vaccination card (fully vaccinated)
- Negative RT-PCR test result (swab only) taken within 48 hours before flight
- Hotel reservation from Department of Tourism-accredited establishment
- S-Pass registration
The point-to-point (P2P) bubble tourism policy for guests "coming from the NCR Plus Areas or from other LGUs outside Palawan province" is limited to authorized island resorts. Guests should comply with protocols mandated by the local government unit, such as mandatory checking of travel requirements at the Tourism Info Desk inside Coron Airport, disinfection of luggage upon arrival, and payment of Environmental Fee (P200). Guests should only stay within the island resort's premises at all times.
Staycation hotels under the P2P bubble are required to have their employees fully vaccinated and compliant with Safety Seal Certification (including the use of StaySafe app). They should also be able to provide direct point-to-point or short transfer arrangement for their guests from their origin to the resort, such as chartered flights. Only guests from the same household can occupy the same rooms.
Fully vaccinated Palawan residents, on the other hand, can check in at any accredited resort in Coron provided that they have a vaccination card, negative antigen test result taken within 24 hours, and confirmed accommodation.
