(SPOT.ph) Coffee might be most often taken hot, but going the cold route lets you have its robust profile (and caffeine content) in a more invigorating light. And sure, there’s iced coffee—but today, we’re highlighting its smoother-tasting cousin, cold brew. While iced coffee is generally brewed hot like normal coffee and served with ice, cold brew is made by steeping coffee grounds in cold water for a much longer time—about 12 hours or longer. The result is a coffee drink that’s more rounded and less acidic in flavor. (This doesn’t necessarily make it better than iced coffee—just different!) If you’re looking to get your fix in Manila, you’ve come to the right place as we’ve rounded up local shops that make their own version.
