You Can Get Din Tai Fung's Xiao Long Bao for Just a Peso Today

(SPOT.ph) No one makes xiao long bao quite like Din Tai Fung—their version is our favorite in Manila thanks to its delicate and mild broth, sturdy wrapper, melt-in-your-mouth savory filling, and perfect soup-to-meat ratio in each and every dumpling they serve up. It's no wonder they remain the go-to spot for xiao long bao, and we've got good news if you love the dish as much as we do: the Taiwanese food spot is holding their fifth annual Xiaolongbao Day from December 2 to 3 (and December 4 for Moment Cardholders), and as part of the celebration, they'll be offering their xiao long bao for just P1 each!

Stomach rumbling yet? Here's the deal: you can get a 10-piece basket of their Pork or Chicken Xiaolongbao for just P10—that's basically P1 per piece—with every purchase of any 10-piece xiao long bao basket. You can choose between the following variants: the famous Pork Xiaolongbao (P360), the totally underrated Chicken Xiaolongbao (P350), the spicy Chili Crab and Shrimp Xiaolongbao (P755), the umami-filled Crab Roe and Pork Xiaolongbao (P635), the earthy Green Squash and Shrimp Xiaolongbao (P355), and the garlicky Pork and Roasted Garlic Xiaolongbao (P355).

Din Tai Fung is a Taiwanese restaurant that was brought to the Philippines by The Moment Group—a.k.a. the restaurant group that's also behind establishments like ManamOoma8 Cuts, and more. They offer Taiwanese dishes, with a selection that spans dim sum, noodles, meaty mains, and more. Other bestsellers are the Salted Egg Yolk Prawns, Pork Chop Fried Rice, and Crispy Beef Strips, all of which are surefire crowdpleasers with Filipinos around the country. In October, they also started selling frozen xiao long bao at supermarkets, which ingeniously allow you to cook up your own versions of the dumpling and enjoy them fresh off the steamer.

What better way to bring out the best of a xiao long bao feast than to pair the dim sum with an ice-cold glass of iced tea? Some of our favorite versions in Manila are those the Southern Blend by The Coffee Bean & Tea Leaf, and the Te Freddo Limone by Cibo!

The Coffee Bean & Tea Leaf's Southern Blend iced tea is for those who enjoy exploring more one-of-a-kind flavors.
Cibo’s Te Freddo Limone offers the perfect blend of sweet and sour, with the distictive taste of the tea still coming through at the end.
