(SPOT.ph) After months of closure amid the pandemic, tourist destinations in the country are slowly reopening their borders with the hopes of jumpstarting the economy through local tourism. El Nido, Ilocos Norte, Ilocos Sur, Tagaytay, and Batangas are just some of the places that are finally seeing weekend vacationers.
Coron, which first accepted travelers within the island on October 26, is all geared up to open their doors to tourists from all over the Philippines. The tropical paradise in the province of Palawan is known for its wreck-dive sites, crystal-clear lakes and lagoons, white-sand beaches, and pristine islets that are like no other. Palawan, after all, has been cited time and again as one of the world's best islands.
Filipinos and foreigners currently in the country are permitted entry as long as they're 15 to 65 years old. You're required to present negative RT-PCR test results within 48 to 72 hours before your flight, filled-out health declaration forms, roundtrip tickets, and confirmed booking at hotels and resorts certified by the Department of Tourism. Only accredited tour groups are allowed to operate. Tourists are required to undergo triage at the Francisco B. Reyes Airport on Busuanga Island. Physical distancing, wearing of face mask and face shield, and other health standards should be followed.
