(SPOT.ph) For most weekend travelers, Tagaytay City in Cavite is the go-to place for an impromptu roadtrip. It is home to a number of accommodations for any type of tourist, from luxurious hotels to one-of-a-kind bed and breakfasts. If you're in for an overnight getaway far from the crowd and noise, the Overlooking Forest Cabin serves as a respite. Its location amid verdant surroundings with a great view of the lake can help you take a breather from a busy week.
The cabin is perfect for couples, but can accommodate a maximum of four people (with extra charge). It features Bohemian-themed accents—from the throwpillows to the wall decorations. There's a shower with a gas-powered water heater, a kitchen with equipped with a stove and other cooking essentials, an antique dining table, a sofa bed in the living area, and a bedroom with a canopy. It has plenty of outdoor space for just lounging around and taking in the view.
The house runs on solar energy and 220V devices are not supported. WiFi is not available and 3G signal for mobile data is erratic. This is the perfect excuse to really go off the grid and actually leave an out-of-office vacation reply on your work e-mail.
Overlooking Forest Cabin is along Tagaytay-Talisay Road, Tagaytay City, Cavite. Rates start at P3,490. You can book through Airbnb or follow Overlooking Forest Cabin on Facebook.
