This will be our second time to celebrate Hallow’s Eve under quarantine—so we totally understand if you’re just hanging by a thread at this point. If you’ve been invited to a virtual costume party or are hosting one, we’re sure the idea of dressing up doesn’t exactly sound as exciting as it would be if you could actually go out with your friends. Still, we’re also here to tell you that putting any effort into something will never be completely pointless—there’s some joy to be had always. So in the spirit of our fellow can’t-bring-self-to-make-an-effort friends, the SPOT.ph team put together a couple of low-commitment costumes you can whip up in a jiffy—just add a cool virtual background.

Ingredients:
- That black turtleneck you bought once when you thought you could be a writer
- A thin, black cotton shirt or fabric of similar sort
- Willingness to lose some of your ability to breathe and see for a while
- A high ponytail that Ariana Grande would be proud of
Recipe: Throw on the black turtleneck, then throw the cotton shirt over your head, collar up. Gather up your hair with the collar and secure it in place with a very sturdy ponytail. Tuck your face-covering into the turtleneck and say goodbye to some of your most vital senses for a bit. Now strike your best sexy dementor pose. In this one we’re giving a “WTF am I doing?” vibe. Move over, Kim Kardashian.

Ingredients:
- That tracksuit that’s been lying in your closet for a while now. Pause to think about how you really should pick jogging back up
- Optional: unearth your old name plate-making skills to give yourself a number. Index cards, safety pin, and a marker should work
- Not optional: the crushing realization that it really is a dog-eat-dog capitalist world
Recipe: Put on that tracksuit and take a look at your latest payslip to really get into character. We suggest choosing the Squid Game challenge you feel you would have the most chances of winning at—just in case this manifests something.
Alexandra Trese and Her Bang
Ingredients:
- Pro tip on getting that special Trese Bang—yes, singular and capitalized)—without having to resort to cutting your hair: Gather a bit of your hair into a thin ponytail then throw said tail upfront; clip in place.
- A black jacket or anything black and badass looking
- Keep some Choc Nut in your pockets just in case
Recipe: Make sure you get the bang just right! Now stand in front of a mirror and repeat “Magandang gabi, Nuno” enough times until you get the gritty deadpan just right. Oh, and if you don’t have a kris randomly lying around at home, we’re pretty sure a Choc Nut will be enough to keep at the very least, the bad vibes away.

Recipe: Do you have a bikini top on? Okay, now put on another one. Try putting it on upside-down. Hey, Nadine Lustre might actually be on to something here; it honestly looks good? Well, who are we to question the unofficial president anyways. You can also keep some lechon manok off-screen so the sarsa doesn’t go to waste.

Ingredients:
- That gorgeous sundress wasting away in your closet
- A small towel for props
- A decided air of nonchalant glamor
Recipe: Yes, this is also us on a daily basis. Look, we used good money to buy nice clothes pre-panini so nothing’s going to stop us rocking it at home! Plus, at least with a virtual party we’ll finally be able to gift others the chance to bask in our awesome OOTD—we like to think they’d be grateful. Kudos to Alessandra de Rossi for leading the way.

- Insert that Spider-Man meme here
- All the face shields and face masks you’ve accumulated at home
- General confusion about which rules are currently being implemented and why
Recipe: Put on a face mask then a face shield. Indoors? Yup. Do it for the costume (and to be extra safe, we guess). Don’t forget your hand sanitizers and alcohol bottles, too! If you can make an index of all the letters and words used and make an animated virtual background, that might help you let off some steam!

Ingredients:
- That blue polo
- Any old form you have lying around
- A little bit of audacity
Recipe: Need some motivation to be a better version of yourself? Well, fake it till you make it then—via the staple blue polo Vico Sotto rocks so well.
