(SPOT.ph) Folks online have been buzzing about what Squid Game would be like in the Philippines ever since the crazy-popular South Korean series dropped on Netflix—but it looks like we finally have a winner! Yup, you can all go home now because Macoy Dubs has given us the best possible version. Content creator Macoy Averilla, a.k.a. Macoy Dubs, dropped a few extra-creative clips on his TikTok recently. The clips had him playing as a Squid Game contestant and we won't spoil it just yet, but face shields and lumpia wrappers are involved.

Macoy Dubs' Funny Takes on Squid Game:

So for those who somehow managed to evade all the buzz, Squid Game is a brutal series about hundreds of cash-strapped folks fighting to the death for a ton of money. Only instead of Gladiator, Battle Royale-type fights, they play different versions of childhood games and that they are killed if they lose.

In Macoy Dubs' version though, instead of a childhood game, we get two very relatable moments. The first one he dropped had him assemble one of those ubiquitous face shields—you know the plastic ones that come in white-and-blue-boxes—in under 30 seconds. We can't even do that in under two minutes in real life so we totally get how he could fumble in this challenge! Plus points for the dramatic shot of the "blood" on the face shield box. Layers.

Macoy Dubs first posted a video as player "069" (Nice). Definitely not how we remember the "Tutubi" game!

Next up, our player had just 20 seconds to do the unthinkable: neatly split apart lumpia wrappers. He even used his saliva the way they did for the honeycomb challenge! Yup, if Macoy Dubs can't do it, we certainly can't either. And if tearing the wrapper isn't allowed? Well, we really hope this never becomes a real thing!

There was even a funny jab at the Squid Game virtual backgrounds that Netflix released. Macoy Dubs used the background with that doll from the first episode—and yup, now you have more than just bad Internet to blame for freezing.
