(SPOT.ph) Cinemalaya has postponed their planned outdoor screenings to September, so best mark your calendars for Cinema Under the Stars happening from September 2 to 4 at the Cultural Center of the Philippines! Originally, they were supposed to hold screenings at the CCP Complex in Manila on August 14—until well, ECQ happened (again). No worries though, cinephiles, as the independent film festival is working on making it happen.

Mark Your Calendars for Cinemalaya 2021 Cinema Under the Stars
Cinema Under the Stars will be at the Liwasang Ulalim, Cultural Center of the Philippines (CCP) Complex. There will be three screenings daily at 4 p.m., 7 p.m., and 9 p.m. Tickets are at P250 each and can be bought online through KTX.ph. No announcement yet on what will be screened outdoors but the Cinemalaya has one heck of a selection—including shorts and full-length features—to choose from. And TBH, we just can't wait to have that theater experience again!
You can watch this year's Cinemalaya films online throughout August until September 5. There are free picks to watch through the Cinemalaya Libre site or go the pay-per-view route through KTX.ph.
This isn't the first time Cinemalaya will be holding Cinema Under the Stars! In 2019, they also had outdoor screenings for free at the CCP's front lawn. It may have only been two years ago but it sure feels like it has been ages. Fingers crossed we'll soon be able to have outdoor screenings just like in the good old days again.
