(SPOT.ph) Local tourism is slowly reopening as restrictions were lifted for travelers coming from NCR Plus on June 1. And to welcome this news, budget airline Cebu Pacific is holding a special all-domestic seat sale until June 11. One-way base fare goes as low as P88, and this is available for travels until March 6, 2022.
"We welcome this development and hope that this will continue as we all look forward to safely restart domestic tourism again. We are especially happy to resume our daily flights to Boracay, which solely cater to tourists," said Candice Iyog, Cebu Pacific's Vice President for Marketing and Customer Experience.
Cebu Pacific has started flying twice daily between Manila and Boracay, a well-known beach getaway in the Philippines because of its white-sand beaches. Regular flights to Bacolod, Bohol, Cagayan de Oro, Cebu, and other local destinations have also resumed.
You can use the cash value in your Travel Fund—which we're guessing might be a lot especially with all the canceled flights in 2020 and early 2021. For ease of travel, you may also avail the CEB Flexi add-on, which lets you voluntarily cancel your flight up to two hours before departure and store the full value of your booking in your Travel Fund without extra charge.
Based on the announcement by the Inter-Agency Task Force on the Management of Emerging Infectious Diseases on June 1, residents of Metro Manila, Laguna, Rizal, Cavite, and Bulacan—collectively called NCR Plus Bubble as of recent—may get out of the bubble as long as their destination is under modified general community quarantine. Official travel requirements are dependent on decision of the local government units conceerned.
