(SPOT.ph) So you've probably heard it by now: Maris Racal has finally confirmed that she and long-time music collaborator Rico Blanco are indeed—as anyone who has ever seen a single clip of them together has suspected—an item. The actor-slash-musician-slash-Internet-queen spelled it out for all of us on May 31 during an online press conference for the June episodes of Maalaala Mo Kaya.
"Kami po ni Rico," she said. "I think based sa post na ginawa ko po, I think it is very obvious," she added, most likely talking about that clip that set social media on fire. Remember that super sparky clip she shared of them singing together on Instagram for Blanco's birthday in March? And how everyone then went on a huge are-they-or-aren't-they dilemma? That has to be the post she's talking about.

Now that we finally have confirmation, the Internet has reacted appropriately once again. And by appropriately, we mean they are freaking out. The 25-year age gap between the two artists was among the hot topics—cue Racal's subtle IG story captured above—but most people are taking this as their cue to repost Racal's old Tweets about her once idol, the former Rivermaya frontman, turned boyfriend and music partner.
People flocked online to repost Racal's tweets from 2017. Turns out she once posted "Hay, Rico Blanco when will I hear you sing live," complete with a heart emoji—talk about an evolution.
This isn't even the first time a celeb has had somewhat prophetic moments. Maine Mendoza once tweeted "Arjo cutie" in 2013—a couple of years before she and Arjo Atayde confirmed they were dating in 2019. And who could forget the dream Catriona Gray's mom had? Gray shared on IG after winning the 2018 Miss Universe crown: "When I was 13, my mum told me, 'Honey, I dreamt of you winning Miss Universe in a red dress.'"
