Brie Larson Just Covered BLACKPINK's Rosé and It's a Crossover We Never Knew We Needed

(SPOT.ph) In today's edition of "Rare Bright Spot That'll Hopefully Make You Smile" is an unexpected connection between two seemingly totally unrelated people: Brie Larson (a.k.a. Captain Marvel) and Roseanne Park (a.k.a. Chaeyoung Park, a.k.a. Rosé of BLACKPINK). The Hollywood A-lister just dropped a short acoustic cover of "On the Ground," Rosé's massive first solo track, on IG! We can't get over the fact that Captain Marvel is definitely (maybe) high-key a Blink!

Larson dropped the short and sweet cover on both her Twitter and IG pages on May 11. We don't know what prompted this—not that singing a great song needs a reason, really—but we love everything about the impromptu-looking clip.

Looks Like Brie Larson Is a BLACKPINK Rosé Stan!

Rosé's solo track, featuring her unique vocals, dropped on March 12 and promptly broke several global records. The music video gathered 41.6 million views in the first 24 hours alone. Clearly, the English-language song combined with the super relatable feels it carried broke barriers for the South Korea-trained idol; even Larson was hooked! Who says BLACKPINK isn't a global force?

It isn't the first time Larson shared her singing skills either. Before she donned the suit of Captain Marvel in the Marvel Cinematic Universe, she played the instantly recognizable Envy Adams in the 2010 hit Scott Pilgrim vs. the World. As the lead vocalist and badass ex of Scott Pilgrim (Michael Cera) she lent her voice to an awesome cover of "Black Sheep" by Metric. Now all we need is for Rosé to do her own version of "Black Sheep" for this circle to be completed.
