(SPOT.ph) Flagship models with the latest specs often come with a hefty price tag. As the premium phone in a manufacturer’s lineup, this often means having to spend upwards of P40,000 for the latest and the greatest device. While this might be the case with top-tier brands, POCO—which is now an independent brand after spinning off from Xiaomi—is going for a different approach. For 2021, POCO is releasing two flagship-level phones: The POCO X3 Pro and the F3

Here Are the New POCO Phones to Check Out:

The POCO X3 Pro has one of the fastest 4G mobile chipsets in the form of Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 860. Made using 7nm technology, the phone’s Kyro CPU is clocked to a max speed of 2.96GHZ with an Adreno 640 GPU. This means that the phone can handle almost any game and other graphics-intensive apps with all the settings turned up.

Pricing for the X3 Pro is P12,990 (6GB RAM, 128GB storage) and P15,990 (8GB RAM, 256GB storage)

The phone has a 6.67-inch, full HD+ DotDisplay screen with a fast 120Hz refresh rate and 240Hz touch sampling rate for a rapid onscreen response. The fast refresh rate eliminates screen jitters and the high sampling rate reduces lag from on-screen inputs. Screen toughness is guaranteed, too, since the display is made from Gorilla Glass 6.

Keeping things cool while reducing heat buildup during long gaming sessions on the X3 Pro is an enlarged copper heatpipe and several layers of graphite, which POCO calls LiquidCool Technology 1.0 Plus. The phone also features the latest storage tech called UFS 3.1, which reduces app load times and increases read and write speeds of files.

On the camera front, the X3 Pro has a quad-camera array with a 48-megapixel (main), 8-megapixel (ultrawide), 2-megapixel (depth), and 2-megapixel (macro) cameras. The phone supports video recording up to 4K resolution, and has a nifty feature called dual video that lets you record using both front and rear cameras simultaneously. It has a 5,160mAh capacity enough to power the phone for an average of two days. Those who always find themselves forgetting to charge can make the most of its 33W fast-charging feature, which allows the phone’s battery to be charged to 59% in 30 minutes and 100% in an hour. Rounding out the phone’s feature list is an NFC reader, IP53 dust and splash resistance, and an IR blaster.

The other star of POCO’s reveal is the F3, which is a 5G powerhouse. Inside the F3 is a Snapdragon 870 5G mobile chipset with a 3.2GHz CPU. Adding to the performance boost is LPDDR5 RAM and rapid UFS 3.1 storage. Like the X3 Pro, the F3 has a copper- and graphite-based cooling solution.

In terms of 5G connectivity, the F3 can match the best phones out there with support for 11 global network bands and a Snapdragon X55 5G Modem-RAF System. It even has Wi-Fi 6 for rapid network access. With all that speed and power, a 4,520mAh battery keeps the phone going with support for 33W fast charging which charges the battery to 100% in 52 minutes.

Fronting the F3 is a large 6.67-inch E4 AMOLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate and 360Hz touch sampling rate. The HDR10+ certified display has a 20:9 aspect ratio and 2400x1080 resolution. Daylight readability is enhanced, thanks to the phone’s support for Sunlight Display 3.0, with Gorilla Glass 5 protecting the front and back of the phone.

The F3 has a 20MP front camera and three shooters in the rear: 48MP (main), 8MP (ultrawide), 5MP (telemacro). A triple-mic system works together with the camera for an Audio Zoom capability. A third microphone captures the sound from distant scenes when the camera is zoomed in.

Audiophiles are in for a treat with the F3’s support for Dolby Atmos for both speaker and headphone modes. A first for a POCO phone, Dolby Atmos delivers a new level of audio immersion. Built-in stereo speakers provide near and far surround sound effects while support for Hi-Res Audio is available in wired and wireless mode.

Both phones are available at the POCO Official Global Store in Lazada and Shopee.
