(SPOT.ph) There are a couple of food groups that we don't think we'll ever tire of—and fried chicken is one of them—we could have them pretty much any day of the week! If there's anyone who knows a thing or two about great food, it's The Moment Group—a.k.a. the group behind 8 Cuts, Manam, and Ooma. This time, they're dipping their toes into the world of fried chicken and giving it their own signature spin. Say hello to Cuckoo, The Moment Group's new delivery-only fried chicken brand. It opens today!
Cuckoo's fried-chicken lineup includes the Cuckoo Wings (P199/four pieces rice, P245/half-dozen, P440/dozen) a.k.a. chicken wings, and the Cuckoo Strippers (P210/five pieces with rice, P299/10 pieces) a.k.a. boneless strips. Properly crisp on the outside and juicy on the inside, these come in a variety of flavors: the spicy-buttery Original, sinigang-inspired House Asim Special, tangy-spicy Buffalo, even-spicier Hot Buffalo, cheesy Garlic Parm, sweet-and-spicy Gochu Glaze, and garlicky Honey Soy Garlic.
Prefer a bigger bite of poultry? Go for the Cuckoo Chicken (P169/one piece with rice, P220/two pieces with rice, P449/bucket with six pieces), a.k.a. fried chicken legs and thighs. For this option, you can choose between Original and Hot Buffalo flavors. If it's a chicken sandwich you crave, try the Cuckoo Chix' Wich (P220), which has their Original-flavored chicken and shredded cabbage in between buns.
Don't miss the cheekily-named Cuckoo Fried Butt Bombs (P99/nine pieces)—yup, that's juicy-AF deep-fried chicken butts that you pop in your mouth! The sides here are no mere afterthought, either: choose between the buttery Cuckoo Rice (P39), crispy Cuckoo Fries (P39), cheesy-as-can-be Fried Mac & Cheese (P69/three pieces), and savory-sweet Sweet Potato Smash (P69).
Hungry yet? You can order for same-day or pre-scheduled delivery via Moment Food (that's The Moment Group's delivery website!), by calling one of their stores directly, or through GrabFood or Pick-A-Roo.
