(SPOT.ph) 2021 is looking to be a big year for the Manila shopping scene with IKEA's first branch in the Philippines and MUJI's biggest store in the country opening this year—and it's only February! To top it off, the latest store opening to pop up on our radar is none other than COS. Yup, the minimalist clothing store is opening a branch in Manila—the very first in the Philippines!
COS is owned by the H&M group and it caters to both men and women with modern, functional wardrobe essentials that are made to last. It first launched in 2007 and currently has 231 stores worldwide.
Here's what to expect from COS in the Philippines:
COS is opening at SM Aura.
SM Supermalls president Steven Tan posted a photo on Facebook showing a huge board-up of the COS store at SM Aura Premier in Taguig City. No word yet on the official opening date, but we're keeping our eyes peeled!
COS offers a wide range of versatile apparel.
COS is known for form-meets-function clothes that sport timeless, versatile styles. Their lineup for both men and women includes tops, bottoms, dresses, outerwear, knitwear, loungewear, underwear, swimwear, pajamas, shoes, bags, accessories, and more. Each piece in their various collections features a no-frills, contemporary aesthetic, typically in neutral tones and with structured, form-flattering silhouettes.

COS stores are known for their stunning architectural aesthetic.
Each COS outpost around the world applies pristine architectural concepts to their exterior designs, with the aim of preserving the building or location's original distinct features while also creating a modern, inviting space with sleek colors and clean lines. We can't wait to see what their Manila store will look like!

Their interiors look great, too.
COS stores around the world look just as good on the inside as they do on the outside with clothing displayed and arranged to complement the architecture. Their stores typically feature wood and concrete textures against light, neutral walls and fixtures.
