World-famous ramen spot Ichiran is best known for its tonkotsu ramen and tourists flock to its many branches in Japan just to try a bowl of the steaming hot noodle soup. For those who can't frequent the restaurant, the tonkotsu ramen also conveniently comes in packets of instant noodles—a godsend during this pandemic when we can't travel abroad. Now, the Japanese restaurant has come up with another way to enjoy their beloved ramen bowls at home. After 20 years of development, Ichiran is launching its very first instant cup ramen.
Ichiran released a video sneak peek of the soon-to-release cup noodles on February 5 and we're filing this one under "images you can smell." Check it out:

According to SoraNews24, the design and cooking process of the instant cup ramen follow in the brand's usual no-frills approach, so customers can enjoy the authentic flavor of the noodles and broth with no fuss. Each package will include the noodles, broth, and Ichiran's secret red sauce to make their Hakata-style ramen.
The tonkotsu broth can be made using the powder packet, the liquid packet, and the oil packet that are all included in each cup. You'll find Ichiran's custom-made non-fried noodles inside, too.
Ichiran's instant Tonkotsu cup ramen will be available starting February 15 at Ichiran stores as well as Japan's convenience stores and supermarkets. We're crossing our fingers that the instant noodles will be available in the Philippines soon!
