(SPOT.ph) The pandemic has made us cancel a lot of travel plans in 2020. But 2021 is already promising to be a brighter year with travel restrictions easing up. Hoping to jumpstart tourism, Cebu Pacific opens the year with a month-long seat sale from January 13 to 31 with trips until December 31. Fares go as low as P88.

Seat sales are offered for over 30 domestic destinations like Bohol, Coron, Boracay, Cebu, Siargao, Davao, Bacolod, or Pampanga. International travel may be a bit impossible right now, but that just gives us another reason to support local tourism.

Passengers with existing Travel Funds, probably converted from canceled or postponed flights during the community quarantine, can use their virtual wallet to pay online. You can also voluntary cancel your flight if it falls on dates before March 31, and convert the fare to your Travel Fund or rebook for as many times as you want.

Cebu Pacific implements a three-way approach to boost travel confidence among passengers: sanitation and safety, track and trace, and testing. The airline boasts a seven-star safety rating, which features daily disinfection, use of hospital grade filters onboard, and contactless flight procedure. They're also using Department of Transportation's unified contract tracing app for the aviation industry called Traze.

The airline is offering antigen tests for P700 through their Test Before Boarding scheme. This means that you just have to be at the at the Ninoy Aquino International Airport just three hours before time of departure to have yourself tested. Cebu Pacific is also giving discounted RT-PCR tests for P3,000 through their partner laboratories.

Cebu Pacific's seat sale runs until January 31. Travel period runs until December 31. For more information, visit Cebu Pacific's website.
