(SPOT.ph) Mountain views rarely come to mind when somebody says dim sum—but not when you're in Cebu City. Tucked away in Cantipla along the high peaks of the Transcental Highway is Happy Buddha. This casual spot is where you can get drinks, dim sum, and yup, cool nature views on their deck!
We don't know which sight is better: those green slopes or that feast laid out on the table. The Happy Buddha is the perfect place to escape to when you just want to get out of the usual daily grind.
As the name implies, you can enjoy dim sum here, including Siomai (P55/three pieces), Shanghai Roll (P50/four pieces), and even a Bacon Roll (P55/two pieces). If you're looking to warm your stomach, they also serve up hearty bowls of Native Chicken Congee for P95.
If you want to take a break in between bites of dim sum, you can go for their Premium American Spareribs (P350), another Happy Buddha favorite. And yup, they serve beer, too! The restaurant is open from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. daily, but we suggest going in the late afternoon so you can catch the sunset skies.
If you're looking for a spot in the Metro with similarly chill vibes, there's the Z Hostel Roofdeck in Poblacion, Makati! There might not be nature views, but we're sure the cool cityscape offers its own kind of charm. Plus, this rooftop bar is just one of the cool, top-of-the-world establishments you can visit around Metro Manila.
