Today’s Free Movie of the Day is a horror anthology that stars genre icon Felissa Rose (Sleepaway Camp). It’s called Lilith, and you can watch it over on the YouTube channel linked above, or you can just watch it in the embed at the top of this article.
Directed by Alexander T. Hwang from a screenplay written by Richard J. Aguirre, Paul McFall, Anthony Werley, and Hwang, Lilith has the following synopsis:
A horror anthology follows the Demon Lilith who punishes men for their indiscretions against women. Lilith is a figure in Jewish mythology, developed earliest in the Babylonian Talmud (3rd to 5th centuries). Lilith would have been the first woman of humanity, but she was expelled from Heaven and doomed forever for opposing the patriarchal system of the kingdom of Heaven. Now she is back, a dangerous demon of the night who is sexually wanton, with her servants and her thirst for vengeance to destroy the order created by God and the Devil.
In addition to Rose, the film stars Michael Wainwright, Thomas Haley, Brialynn Massie, Lara Jean Sullivan, Michael Jon Murphy, Hunter Johnson, Charles Chudabala, John DeYoe, Jennifer Nangle, Vernon Wells, Noel Jason Scott, Mark Schaefer, Noël VanBrocklin, Colton Wheeler, Emily Coupe, Anthony Werley, Adam Schaudenecker, Pat Trimmer, Kathleen W. Hwang, Johnny Sycamore, Devanny Pinn, Frank Tryon, Kimberly Roswell, Ashley Vetere, Bianca Mohan, and Nikki Hicks. Rose, Massie, Nangle, VanBrocklin, Trimmer, Pinn, and Hicks are all credited as playing Lilith at different points in the film.
Hwang made his feature directorial debut with the 2016 film Prey, in Cold Blood, and Lilith was his second feature. Since making this one, he has directed Paranormal Attraction, Shelter in Place, Bearry, Ravening Woods, and Shelter.
