This New Sundae at McDonald's Features the Groovy Flavor of Ube

(SPOT.ph) Sure, people go to McDonald's for their savory signatures like burgers, fried chicken, and more—but those looking for a sweet ending are always in for a treat as they've got a line of desserts that include their soft-serve ice cream. Though a plain old cone always pleases, their soft-serve is also versatile enough that it pairs great with other flavors; just take a look at the many spinoff ice-cream desserts they've come up with over the years. With the holidays nearing, they're turning to Filipino flavors this time around—and if you love yourself a good ube dessert, you're in for a treat. Purple yam fans, you're in for a treat with this new dessert from McDonald's:

The Ube Pastillas Sundae (P38) pairs McDonald's signature soft-serve with a creamy purple-yam sauce for nutty, milky spoonfuls! Alternatively, if you're more for the custardy profile of brazo de mercedes, you can go for the Brazo Sundae (P38).Over at their coffee-shop leg McCafé, McDonald's also has sippable versions of these desserts—namely the Ube Pastillas Frappe (P159/medium, P170/large) and Brazo Frappe (P159/medium, P170/large)—which are perfect for cooling you down on a hot day.
