(SPOT.ph) Touted as the "Birthplace of Philippine Surfing," Baler in Aurora is best known for its beach break that's perfect even for those who are just getting started in riding small waves. It also has secret hideouts that only the pros and local surfers know. But whether you're heading out with a board or not, this beach getaway always dazzles the local traveler for it has kept its old-town charm; just take a walk around the plaza and boardwalk to see it for yourself.

And if you've been missing this spot, you'll be glad to know that Baler is now accepting local travelers. Executive Order 2021-0024, which enumerates the guidelines for visitors, is effective November 10.
