Bohol Drops RT-PCR Requirement for Fully Vaccinated Travelers

(SPOT.ph) Bohol is an island province in the Visayas that's well known for its tarsier sanctuary, the natural wonder that is Chocolate Hills, white-sand beaches, and the most colorful reefs. They first reopened their doors to leisure travel in December 2020, hoping to revive what was once of the country's most vibrant tourism hotspots. And after a lot of back and forth with quarantine rules, the provincial government of Bohol agreed to waive the RT-PCR testing requirement for fully vaccinated visitors.

Non-vaccinated and partially vaccinated individuals are still required to present a negative RT-PCR test taken at least 72 hours before depature for Bohol. Those caught with fake documents will be fined P5,000 and quarantined for five days at their own expense.

Here are the latest Bohol travel requirements (as of October 22):

  • Fully vaccinated travelers need to present a vaccination certificate secured through vaxcert.doh.gov.ph. Non-vaccinated individuals are required to present a negative RT-PCR test result (swab or saliva) taken within 72 hours to travel date.
  • S-pass registration
