You’ve probably downloaded a lot of mobile apps in the past year—from digital wallets to delivery apps—due to the pandemic. Aside from learning the basics, there are little-known features on these apps that you might want to take advantage of, especially now that we are still advised to stay put at home. From online shopping on a mobile wallet to ordering from different restaurants and paying just one bill, we;'ve got you covered.

Here are other things you can do on mobile apps that you probably haven’t tried yet:

Order from different restaurants under one bill on Grab

Just before the pandemic, Grab launched their cloud kitchen called GrabKitchen, which enables you to order from different merchants in one place. Now, they’ve expanded the service from Makati to other cities within Metro Manila, one of them being Pasig.

GrabKitchen Pasig has a Mix and Match option that allows you to buy from different restos in one billing—that means, you'll only have to pay the fee of one delivery.

It’s pretty easy to use: simply open the app, pick “Grab Food” and then “GrabKitchen”. Tap “Mix and Match (Pasig)”, and from there, you can order from a number of merchants including Omakase, Happilee, King Chef, Merienda by Pan de Manila, 24 Chicken, La Titas MNL, CoCo Fresh Tea & Juice, Conti’s, and Merry Moo. Yup, you can order appetizers, main meals, desserts, and drinks in one go!

Mix and Match is a great option for times when you can’t decide on what to eat, or for when you’re planning to buy your day’s meals in one go. It saves you time and also lessens your trips out to pick up food.

Unfortunately, the service isn’t available outside Metro Manila just yet, so here’s hoping the nearby provinces get a chance to experience GrabKitchen’s Mix and Match option, too!

Buy items for your home on GCash

You probably use your GCash app to pay your bills, transfer money to family members, or pay online sellers. But did you know that you can actually do some online shopping through GCash’s GLife portal?
