(SPOT.ph) If you've scrolled through #BeautyTok in the last few weeks (a.k.a. the side of social media app TikTok that's obsessed with all things makeup- and skincare-related), you may have noticed that many beauty junkies have been obsessed with purple blush. And yes, it's exactly what it sounds like. As of writing, the hashtag #purpleblush has over four million views.

Normally when you think of blush, shades of peach, pink, and red come to mind, but it looks like makeup fanatics have been going for a bolder look recently. The trend came about as a result of popular brands recently releasing cream blushes in bright violet tones. Now, we know that sounds intimidating, but don't worry, you won't look like you've got huge bruises on your cheeks. Purple blush provides a finish similar to what you might get from a vibrant hot pink, creating a soft flush on the face that's more noticeable than your average peach, but can still work with both natural and bold makeup looks. Below, we list some purple blushes you can shop in Manila in case you want to give it a try.

Try Tiktok's purple blush trend with these makeup products:

Rihanna's makeup and skincare brand is so beloved in the beauty community that almost every new release makes headlines, so it's no surprise that Fenty Beauty's Drama Cla$$ blush was definitely a catalyst of the purple blush trend. Don't be intimidated by the neon purple shade in the pan—the finish is a soft violet that can be diffused into a subtle flush of color or built up to a more striking shade. The versatile color would work for a variety of skin tones from fair to deep.
