(SPOT.ph) A mighty, meaty steak does wonders when you're looking to celebrate or basically treat yourself. When done right, it definitely ranks high as one of the most indulgent and splurge-worthy dishes around—especially when suave resto interiors and white tablecloths are involved! One of the most well-known steak places in the world is Ruth's Chris Steak House; aside from their locations around the U.S., Canada, and Mexico, they've also got global branches in countries like Taiwan and Singapore. Now you can add the Philippines to that list, as Ruth's Chris Steak House has opened a branch locally in Manila—specifically, Bonifacio Global City!

Carnivores are in for a treat here, as Ruth's Chris is all about meat. Just some of the highlights of the menu are the seemingly-petite but ultra-flavorful Filet (P2,800/11 ounces) with corn-fed premium USDA beef, and the New York Strip (P2,500/12 ounces, P3,300/16 ounces) with USDA Prime beef (pro tip: this cut is especially best had rare or medium-rare). For an even more indulgent bite, try the Ribeye (P2,500/12 ounces, P3,300/16 ounces) that packs in flavor and tenderness as and employs USDA Prime beef, or the T-Bone (P4,300/22 ounces)—a cut that pairs strip steak and tenderloin—their version of which also uses USDA Prime beef! You can opt to have your steak with extra sides—there's shrimp (P590) for some surf-and-turf action, an Au Poivre Sauce (P200) for a deep and peppery bite, or even a Bleu Cheese Crust (P200) for an earthy, umami counterpoint.

Of course, it's also worth starting your meal with a couple of their appetizers: The Seared Ahi-Tuna (P780) features the fish with a zippy sauce of mustard and beer, while the Sizzlin' Blue Crab Cakes (P880) tops two jumbo lump crab cakes with rich yet bright-tasting lemon butter. There's also the Ruth's Chop Salad (P480) with iceberg lettuce, baby spinach, radicchio, red onions, mushrooms, green olives, bacon, eggs, croutons, and blue cheese all tied together with a lemon-basil dressing for vibrancy. And for a sweet ending, you can conclude with one or more of their dreamy desserts—some of which are the silky Cheesecake (P480) with fresh berries, the moist Chocolate Sin Cake (P350) that pairs together chocolate and espresso, and the Caramelized Banana Cream Pie (P480).

Ruth's Chris Steak House was founded in 1965 and is named after founder Ruth Fertel, who mortgaged her home to buy a small 60-seater eatery in New Orleans. This was initially dubbed Chris Steak House, but renamed to its current moniker following a change in location due to a fire in 1976.

Today, Ruth's Chris Steak House is technically a chain—but a really good one that does their flagship dishes really, really well. They're steaks famously arrive at the table still sizzling, which they do by giving the plated steak a quick broil and adding a pat of butter before serving.

Ruth's Chris Steak House is at 2/F ORE Central, 31st Street, Bonifacio Global City. For more information, check out Ruth's Chris Steak House Philippines' Facebook page.
