(SPOT.ph) On August 21, Angel Locsin and Neil Arce dropped the first part of their house tour on the Angel and Neil Channel. The newlyweds, whose intimate wedding ceremony was announced on August 7, recalled how long it took for them to find a house. "Siyempre kailangan okay kami, sa location sa trabaho namin, at kaya ng budget," Locsin shared. They were thinking of moving into either of their condos, until a big blessing arrived—Arce's family offered said house.
"Medyo old house siya, ni-renovate lang namin ng konti. Actually si Angel karamihan nag-design d’yan,” Arce added. The couple also had to deal with the house's existing problems and decide on things like cleaning and how to decorate the space to make it their own. Curious to see how Locsin and Arce made this house their home? We rounded up some interesting details that we spotted in their dwelling.

Check out these cool details in Angel Locsin and Neil Arce's home:
Their front door has no handles.
This Claude Tayag-designed front door doesn't have handles. You just need to push the door to get in, though it's quite on the heavy side, according to Locsin. You can’t lock it from the outside, but it has a huge sliding mechanism inside to secure the house.
They have a stylish sanitizing area.
This temporary sanitizing area is where the couple can get masks, alcohol, disinfectant wipes, and spray. As for the photo, Locsin shared, "Nakita ko ‘to sa isang art fair online tapos nakita ko, 'Ay, si Neil Daza, isa sa mga tinitingalanang DOP [Director of Photography] sa bansa natin."
"TV" meets "3D" in their living area.
Among the spaces in their home, it's the living room that "In-effort-an talaga ni Angel design-an," according to Arce. A lot of the pieces in this area were already in the house before they moved in. "We wanted to keep kasi kung ano pa ‘yong pwedeng magamit na maganda naman. In-update ko lang itong mga budol finds ko, mga nabili ko sa mga online store[s]," Locsin added. Jett Osian works hang on opposite walls, which Arce thought was "very us."
And more art!
Yup, you can find a Ferdinand Cacnio brass sculpture (which Locsin got from a Red Cross auction) as well as a Ramon Orlina glass sculpture. Behind the two works are Azor Pascoguin paintings.
A Kurt Cobain painting is prominently displayed on one wall, which is apparently Arce's first gift to Locsin for Valentine's. On the other hand, Locsin gifted Arce with a golf cart, which is parked in one area of the house.
Locsin has a massive ref-magnet collection.
Arce recalled how Locsin got a little worried when she found out that the ref doors weren't magnetic. "Hindi ko alam 'yong gagawin ko," Locsin added with a laugh, that is, until they realized the side of the ref is. Problem solved!
Locsin put much thought—and effort—in their outdoor laundry area.
The couple's laundry area is as pleasing to the eye as it could get, and it's all because of Locsin. "Kailangan daw may bahay ang washing machine," Arce recalled, to which Locsin interjected, "Akala niya bahay na may bubong!" "In all fairness, ang ganda naman ng ginawa niya," Arce added. Locsin also shared how she attempted to clean the countertop tiles with organic and natural products to whiten and remove the stains.
They have a closet...a "walis closet."
Their utility area, where their staff could relax and eat, has a mini bar, ample seating options, and a TV. It's also where Locsin's "walis closet" could be found. "Wala daw lalagyan 'yong walis niya," Arce shared, so Locsin had a closet made for all the cleaning tools. We have to say it's a pretty cool idea to keep things organized and clutter-free, too!
