Giant cracks appeared along Topaz Road in Ortigas Center, Pasig City on the evening of August 22.
According to members of the Pasig Rescue Team, the biggest crack is at 10-foot deep, with the cracks stretch around 50 meters along the road. They're now covered with blue tarpaulins weighed down with sandbags to prevent rainwater from spilling in.
Barangay San Antonio officials said they would investigate the cracks together with the Pasig City engineering department, disaster risk reduction office, and building administrators. They also coordinated with PHIVOLCS and the Department of National Defense regarding the matter.
The Ortigas Center Association Inc. reminded motorists to take alternate routes while the road remains closed off to traffic.
