Quezon City residents are required to present quarantine passes when grabbing essentials while Metro Manila is under enhanced community quarantine, a.k.a. ECQ.

Like other cities under ECQ, only Authorized Persons Outside of Residence or APORs can leave their homes to work, grab essentials, or to get vaccinated. For a full list of APORs, check this guide. Those not on the list will have to get a quarantine pass when heading out. Confused about the rules in Quezon City? Get answers to some of the biggest questions below.

Where to get a quarantine pass?

Residents can get a quarantine pass from their respective barangays.

Who can get one?

It's best to give the quarantine pass to a vaccinated member of the household. If no one has received their jab, the pass can go to the family member that needs to go out for essentials. One quarantine pass per household only.

Can just anybody in the household use it?

Let's say your mom gets the pass. This can't be passed on to you if you want to go out. In other words, it's not transferrable! Only the person whose name is on the pass can use it.

Do APORs still need a quarantine pass?

Workers in allowed industries, frontliners, and those scheduled to receive their vaccines can leave their homes without a quarantine pass.

For essential workers, you must present your ID at checkpoints. For those getting their vaccine, be sure to have a printout or screenshot of the vaccine appointment.

Those going out to buy essentials for the home must take the pass with them.

What about minors and seniors?

Minors and seniors are barred from leaving their homes while the capital region is under lockdown. Those aged 18 and below and 65 and above can only go out in Quezon City for the following reasons:

  • purchase of food and/or medicine
  • hospitalization
  • vaccination
