Local burger shop 8 Cuts knows a thing or two about this as they had their own take on a blue cheeseburger—dubbed the Bleu Burger—way back from when they were known as Burger Bar. This stayed on when they relaunched as 8 Cuts in 2013, but was pulled out of the regular menu after a while. Well, guess what: It's making a funky comeback (with new toppings!), and it's here to stay. Meet the Bleu Cheesebuger 2.0, which you can order again starting tomorrow, August 26!
Here's what to expect from the 2021 blue-cheese burger at 8 Cuts:
The Bleu Cheesebuger 2.0 (P305/one-fourth pound and P375/one-third pound) features blue cheese in all its funky glory, in the form of a creamy blue-cheese sauce smothering their juicy house-blend patty, and a blue-cheese crumble that amps up the umami notes further. Peppered onion tanglers contribute earthiness and crunch, and their pillowy buns hold everything together. You'll want to open wide and take a big bite to really experience how beefy, slightly pungent, and creamy worlds collide—you bet you're in for a good time.
This burger is quite the killer on its own, but you can also go for The Funk Phenomenon combo (P378), which includes the Bleu Cheesebuger 2.0, your side of choice (Skinny Fries or Oh-Rings), and Iced Tea. Aside from dine-in and takeout once those resume, you can also get your fix for delivery through Moment Food (a.k.a. the delivery website of 8 Cuts' mother company The Moment Group) or via delivery apps GrabFood, Foodpanda, or Pickaroo.
