(SPOT.ph) It's often debated upon whether food can be considered a form of art. Either way, food and visual art are similar in that they engage the senses and can evoke different emotions—and if you can have them both under one roof, then all the better. One establishment in Poblacion brings together the two worlds: Check out Coffee ArTea, a small café where you can treat both your eyes and tastebuds to works of art and great coffee drinks!

Check out this small art gallery and café in Poblacion:

Coffee ArTea has a simple storefront with off-white brick walls, a black roof, and a few potted plants stationed by the table and chairs outside. The laid-back feel extends to the inside, where it's small but cozy, and you'll find paintings by local artists displayed on the wall. "Our concept is a small art gallery that supports local artists," Coffee ArTea's Hanzel  (who prefer to be referred as such, and runs the shop with other partners) shares in an exchange with SPOT.ph.

For their cups of joe, Coffee ArTea uses local coffee beans from different part of the Philippines. You'll find your standard Espresso (P90), Cappuccino (P130/hot, P150/iced), and Mocha (P140/hot, P160/iced), but also more one-of-a-kind drinks that include the Horchata Manchado (P190)—an espresso-spiked version on the Mexican rice drink known as horchata—and the Lokal Cacao Bicerin (P190), their take on a classic Italian dessert coffee called bicerin using their own homemade local cacao sauce and cold muscovado cream.
