(SPOT.ph) Aside from the fact that we're still in the pandemic, school year 2021 to 2022 is a lot different for most incoming college students as universities waived traditional examinations and considered only academic performance from Grade 8 to 11. Up to 100,000 hopefuls sent in their applications at the University of the Philippines back in January; and the first batch of Iskos and Iskas who are getting in through this process received the results this morning, July 15.

The UP Office of Admissions encouraged applicants to visit the portal according to the time slot corresponding to the first letter of their surname in an effort to "manage online traffic." Students with surnames starting with letters from A to F can enter the site between 8 a.m. and 11 a.m., from G to M between 11 a.m. and 2 p.m., from N to S between 2 p.m. and 5 p.m., and from T to Z between 5 p.m. and 8 p.m. The portal's open to all from 8 p.m. onwards. While there's a prescribed time slot, it seems that everyone's already checking their results as soon as the site was available; and we totally understand. Who can wait for the whole day if the next chapter of your academic life is on the line?
As applicants checked their results, "#UPCA2021" and "Iskolar ng Bayan" trended on Twitter. Some were excited to get into their "dream school," but some just had to tweet out their feels.
