Kandaya Resort is located near the northern tip of Cebu and can be reached in three hours from Mactan International Airport. The resort has a van service that can fit six people at P4,000 for one way and P8,000 for a round trip, complete with snacks and drinks for a pleasant journey. The resort has a breathtaking tropical landscape, white-sand beach, and pools, the resort also has indoor table game centers and outdoor courts for basketball, tennis, and volleyball—perfect for some family bonding.

Rooms start at P9,743 for a night for two adults and two kids under the age of five. The Day Use package is priced at P3,000 per person on weekdays and P3,500 per person on weekends, with P1,000 consumable at KUSINA Restaurant. Kids aged sixto 12 years old can come in for P2,000 per person on any day; this comes with a P500 consumable rate for food and drinks.

The Shangri-La in Mactan is an idyllic paradise for families, with plenty of lush greenery and luxe beachside accommodations. Aside from a kiddie pool, the resort has a multi-level indoor playground called the Adventure Zone. Kiddos up to three years old can also enjoy the Toddler’s Zone, with plenty of activities to stimulate and entertain their young minds; these include Clay Dough Fun and Handsome Prints. Rates start at P7,650 a night for Golden Circle members, with breakfast for two people, including one child under six years old. There’s also a Beach Buddies Explorer Day Pass at P2,200 for one adult and P1,200 for children aged seven to 17 years old. Kids below seven years old are free of charge. The rates already include dining credits of P800 for adults and P500 for kids.
