(SPOT.ph) You know it's going to be a good day when there's a new Starbucks frappuccino to try—after all, the coffee chain's ice-blended drinks are a favorite for when you're hankering for something cold and sweet. If it's a layered drink that delivers a medley of rich, bittersweet, and fruity profiles besides looking good enough to 'gram, then all the better! Curious? You'll want to check out one of Starbucks' newest menu items: the totally swoon-worthy Neapolitan Cream Frappuccino.
Here's why Starbucks' Neapolitan Cream Frappuccino is a must-try:
Not only is the Neapolitan Cream Frappucino a total looker; it gives you quite the trip for the tastebuds, too. As the name implies, it takes inspiration from Neapolitan ice cream—a classic combo that's got chocolate, vanilla, and strawberry flavors in distinctive layers or sections in one tub. In this drink, you get a creamy vanilla-bean base, strawberry sauce, chocolate sauce, and topping made of waffle crackers! You can order it for P175 for the Tall size, P190 for the Grande size, and P205 for the Venti size.
Starbucks has other newbies on their menu, too. The S'Mores Coffee Frappuccino (P175/Tall, P190/Grande, P205/Venti) might remind you of a similar S'Mores Frappuccino they had on the local menu in the past years; this year's version has vanilla syrup, coffee, and milk topped with marshmallow-infused whipped cream, and it's sprinkled with graham-cracker crumbles. (You can also get it sans coffee.)
For a more straightforward coffee fix, go for the Chocolate Truffle Cold Brew (P180/Tall, P195/Grande, P210/Venti). This robust-tasting treat has Starbucks' cold brew mixed with mocha sauce and salted caramel syrup, then sprinkled with chocolate powder to reinforce the mocha element.
These drinks are available at all Starbucks stores, as well as for delivery via GrabFood (note that prices may vary on the app). Be sure to catch them while you can, though, as they're only available for a limited time!
Starbucks is a U.S. coffee chain that first opened in Seattle in 1971, and came to the Philippines in 1997. Some of their other local bestsellers are the Mocha Frappuccino and White Chocolate Mocha.
