Residents from the cities of Pasig, Valenzuela, Antipolo, Mandaluyong, and the municipality of Taytay only need one QR code for contact tracing in all five areas, their mayors said.
The Contact Tracing Network Consortium Agreement of the five areas is a collaboration among Pasig City Mayor Vico Sotto, Valenzuela City Mayor Rex Gatchalian, Antipolo City Mayor Andrea Ynares, Mandaluyong City Mayor Menchie Abalos, and Taytay Mayor Joric R. Gacula II.
The interoperability means that any QR code from PasigPass, ValTrace, Antipolo Bantay COVID-19, MandaTrack, and Taytay Trail can be used in any of the five areas.
"Your QR code no matter which city or municipality you live in doon sa lima will work in the other cities na binanggit," Gatchalian said.
This eliminates the need to have additional apps or accounts for contact tracing, and saves you the time it takes to fill out manual forms.
Taytay, Rizal, is the latest to be included in the system, with more cities and provinces eyed to join in the future. Ynares said she hopes more local governments would be part of the interlinked system.
You can download and sign up for PasigPass, ValTrace, Antipolo Bantay COVID, MandaTrack, Taytay Trail.
