(SPOT.ph) The animated adaptation of Trese landed on Netflix on June 11—and people can't get enough. Based on the popular graphic novels by Budjette Tan and Kajo Baldisimo, Filipino folklore finally takes center stage on a global platform like Netflix. We can't wait for folks across the globe to potentially get hooked on all things Filipino, not just in terms of our lore, but also our culture in general. And we're talking more than just ChocNut.

The best part of all this is that the creators definitely did not disappoint. Local social media networks were full of people celebrating the little details of the show, from tidbits like the twins using their mouth to point or just how well Metro Manila was translated to the screen, all Independence Day weekend, fittingly enough.

And in true Pinoy fashion, folks online instantly went to work commemorating the show's arrival with all the funniest memes. Nuno and his Chocnut were an instant hit, and we know this year's Halloween is going to give us the best "Team Trese" versions ever.
