(SPOT.ph) Subic Bay is known for its beaches, adventure parks, and duty-free shopping centers. It's just two hours away from Manila, making it a go-to choice for impromptu long drives especially on weekends. Following the June 1 decision of the Inter-Agency Task Force on the Management of Emerging Infectious Diseases allowing leisure travel in and out of NCR Plus, Subic Bay Metropolitan Authority announced that Subic Bay is now accepting visitors from Metro Manila, Laguna, Rizal, Cavite, and Bulacan—collectively under general community quarantine status.

"No age restrictions apply, however travelers below 18 and above 65 years old will have to present proof of a negative RT-PCR test result," they said in a post. Full guidelines have yet to be announced, but the advisory includes adherance to minimum public health standards.

Subic Bay has been allowing leisure visitors from modified general community quarantine areas since November 2020. For this category, no travel documents are required and only those staying more than four days need to submit negative RT-PCR test results upon arrival. Children below three years old are also not allowed on beaches, at waterparks, or swimming pools.
