(SPOT.ph) With the government's COVID-19 vaccination program underway, people are scrambling to register online and wait for a text or a call regarding their inoculation schedule and location. Some take a leave from work, since most of the local government units carry out their vaccination during the day and the process can take hours. But for daily-wage earners, taking time off just isn't an option. In response to this, Quezon City launched "Bakuna Nights" in the evening of June 16 to immunize workers whose only free time starts at 6 p.m.

"Para ito sa mga manggagawa natin na hindi naman makaliban sa kanilang trabaho para makapagpabakuna sa karaniwang oras na 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Lalo na 'yung mga arawan ang sahod. Ngayon, hindi na nila kailangang mamili kung arawang kita ba muna o bakuna. We will inoculate them at a time most convenient to them,” said Quezon City Mayor Joy Belmonte in a statement.

Around 2,000 pre-registered frontline personnel in essential sections were incolated at the Quezon City Hall Grounds on Wednesday night.

To register for Quezon City's vaccination program, you can log in through eZConsult website. Other options are barangay-assisted bookings or company/agency-assisted booking for the A4 priority group.
