(SPOT.ph) In early 2020, it was announced that the first-ever Harry Potter flagship store would be opening in New York City that very same year. You can probably guess why the store opening was delayed considering all that went down last year. Thankfully, it looks like the wait is finally over: Harry Potter New York, which will house the largest collection of Harry Potter and Fantastic Beasts merchandise in the muggle world (and the wizarding world, too) is opening on June 3!

Get ready to step into a magical world (platform 9 and 3/4 not required) because this spot is more than just a store—it's an experience. Harry Potter New York is decked out top to bottom in decor inspired by J.K. Rowling's world-famous fictional universe, some of which will be interactive. The 21,000 square-foot store houses three floors and you'll find new things to explore and inspect everywhere you turn—any true Potterhead would have a blast browsing around! You'll spot large fixtures modeled after creatures, magical elements, and locations from the film series with some rooms looking almost identical to scenes from The Sorcerer's Stone all the way to The Deathly Hallows and beyond.
You can also shop finds straight out of the actual wizarding world portrayed in the movies and novels like Chocolate Frogs, Bertie Bott’s Every Flavor Beans, and of course the fan-favorite Butterbeer. The store will even have a personalization area where you can get your very own engraved magical wand (from Ollivander’s shop, of course).

Just in case you won't be able to drop by Harry Potter New York Store any time soon (for obvious reasons), you can purchase selected items from the store through the official Harry Potter online shop.
Harry Potter New York is at 935 Broadway, New York City. While waiting for travel to be completely safe again, we'll be attempting to apparate or travel via Floo Powder to the store.
