(SPOT.ph) Pretty much anyone who went through college life would agree that canned luncheon-meat brand SPAM is a lifesaver. It's convenient, easy to cook, and always, always hits the spot with its signature porky, savory flavor. While we'll always be suckers for having a few fried slices over white rice, there's also a lot of other ways you can use SPAM—how does a SPAM rice ball, bao, or burger sound? Here's where you can try just that: The luncheon-meat brand has an ongoing SPAM Food Truck stationed at Capitol Commons, where you can have your SPAM fix in different ways!
SPAM collaborated with Lampara's Chef RJ Ramos to come up with must-try dishes that'll let you see the famed meat product in a whole different light. Take your pick from meaty eats like the SPAM Rice Ball (P139), the SPAM Salpicao (P159), SPAM Takoyaki Bao (P159), SPAM Cheeseburger (P159), and SPAM Desal Queso Blanco (P139) at the food truck! Yup, this just points to how versatile the canned product can be, as it imbues its meaty flavor onto rice, bread, and more.
We'll also let you in on a secret: They've got an off-menu SPAM Kimchi Bao (P159) that you can't miss. This bao pairs fatty spam with zippy kimchi for a balanced-tasting bite; just mention it to the SPAM truck folks and they'll know what you're talking about!
Drooling yet? You can catch the SPAM Food Truck at Capitol Commons Park from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. from today, June 25, until June 27. It'll also be at Ortigas East from July 2 to 4, and Greenhills from July 9 to 11—don't miss it!
The SPAM Food Truck is at the Capitol Commons Park, Capitol Commons, Meralco Avenue corner Shaw Boulevard, Pasig City. For more information, check out SPAM Philippines' Facebook page.
