(SPOT.ph) The ongoing pandemic may have put a lot of things to a halt, but our plastic production never stopped. In fact, studies show that the accumulation of plastic waste increased in the past year, especially with our shift to packed food and delivery of goods. In an effort to curb this problem, Robinsons Novaliches in Quezon City is reopening their Recycling Market, where mallgoers can exchange their trash for cash.

The Recycling Market is available every last Friday and Saturday of the month at Robinsons Novaliches' mall entrance near Jollibee and Goto King. You can exchange various kinds of paper (newspaper, white and colored paper, magazines, cartons), plastic (PET bottles, packaging plastics, hard plastics, PVC tubings), metal (scrap iron, packaging cans, aluminum, copper), and glass items (packaging bottles, beer, and liquor bottles). Think of it as your usual bote-diyaryo at junkshops, except you can do it on your way to pick up groceries or takeout food from the mall.

Robinsons Novaliches' Recycling Market was first introduced in 2017 in partnership with the Quezon City Environmental Protection and Waste Management Department.

Robinsons Novaliches is at Barangay Pasong Putik, Quirino Highway, Novaliches Quezon. Recycling Market is open every last Friday and Saturday of the month. For updates, follow Robinsons Novaliches on Facebook.
