(SPOT.ph) Still smarting over the way the Sailor Moon anime ended things? Well, here's your chance for some much needed closure. Netflix is bringing to the world the latest installment in the franchise, a grand two-part movie called Pretty Guardian Sailor Moon Eternal The Movie (yes, "The Movie" included)! Aside from finally continuing the Dream Arc storyline of the OG manga, it looks like they've even stuck with the old-school animation style. Just take a look at the main trailer:

Okay, so it's a little sharper than we remember (thank you, digital advancements!) but we definitely feel like were back to school-day afternoons waiting for the next ep on our bulky TVs. Remember when streaming wasn't a thing? Who knows how we survived.

What Is Pretty Guardian Sailor Moon Eternal The Movie About?

The two-part movie is set in April, right as Tokyo celebrates the largest Total Solar Eclipse of the century. Usagi and Chibi-Usa encounter a creature called Pegasus, who is in search of the chosen Maiden who can break the seal of the Golden Crystal, right as the eclipse takes place. As for the bad guys, there's an entire troupe called the Dead Moon Circus that traipes into town. Their plan is to scatter "Lemures" (Read: nightmare incarnations), seize the Legendary Silver Crystal, and take over the universe. Gosh, it's been too long since we read a plotline like that!

Pretty Guardian Sailor Moon Eternal The Movie was first released in Japan in January 2021. Thankfully, they're letting the rest of the world reenter the Sailor Moon universe when it drops on Netflix on June 3.
