After nearly two decades, we got our first glimpse of the Central Perk gang as full-fledged adults—and it looks like they're still the bumbling cast of characters we all fell in love with. The first trailer for the much-awaited Friends reunion special has been released by HBO Max! Prepare your hearts for this very welcome onslaught of feels and nostalgia.
Finally, Our First Peek at the Friends Reunion Special
Gosh, there's a lot to unpack. So we finally understood what they meant by an "unscripted" reunion! It looks like there's going to be several segments in the special. There's the cast talking about the show, a table reading—Phoebe really said her unforgettable "My eyes!" line again—and a trivia game (hosted by Ross, of course). The special lands on HBO Max on May 27 but we have hope we get a slice of the action on HBO Go as well.
The best thing about the trailer is that it is our first real glimpse of the gang together again: Jennifer Aniston as Rachel Green, Courteney Cox as Monica Geller, Lisa Kudrow as Phoebe Buffay, Matt LeBlanc as Joey Tribbiani, Matthew Perry as Chandler Bing, and David Schwimmer as Ross Geller.
We even got a peek at that stellar slew of special guests they'll have on the show! Was that Cara Delevigne in Rachel's Little Bo Beep bridesmaid dress? And oh my god, is that Maggie Wheeler channeling Janice? We can't wait to see what other guests like BTS, David Beckham, Lady Gaga, Cara Delevingne, Mindy Kaling, James Corden, Justin Bieber, and even Nobel prize winner Malala Yousafzai will be up to in the special.
