(SPOT.ph) As biking proves to be a better mode of transportation amid the pandemic and worsening of public transport conditions, more and more people are getting into riding the two-wheeler even if it's their first time to do so. To ease new bikers into it, National Bicycle Organization has been holding biking lessons for adults in various places in the Metro. Their newest venue is at the Roof Deck Playground of Robinsons Metro East, where lessons are held every Saturday and Sunday from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. No minors are allowed as of writing.
Two-hour sessions are available at 4 p.m. and 6 p.m. Only two students are allowed per slot, so you have to book your appointment through their website. Walk-in is discouraged. Payment is at P300 per head, which you can settle through credit or debit card, Coins.ph, GCash, or PayMaya. You don't have to bring a bicycle since the rental is already part of the fees. According to the National Bicycle Organization (NBO), it only takes about 30 minutes to learn so you get the rest of the time to bike around on your own. If you just want to practice, you can also bring your own bike and use the area for free.
NBO Bike Lessons is also available at 5th Avenue, Bonifacio High Street every Saturday and Sunday, from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m.; and at the sixth floor open parking area of Robinsons Place Manila every weekend, from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m.
Robinsons Metro East is at Marcos Highway, Pasig City. To register, visit NBO's website.
