(SPOT.ph) We're more than a year into the pandemic, and no one knows for sure when we'll be able to travel like before again. Hoping to make you interested in travel again (but still able to deal with the uncertainty of it all), budget airline Cebu Pacific upgraded their CEB Flexi add-on. First launched in October 2019 as a convenient way to rebook your flight minus the fees, it now lets you voluntarily cancel your flight up to two hours before departure and store the full value of your booking in your Travel Fund without extra charge.
Cebu Pacific already permanently removed rebooking fees in March 2021, seeing as to how passengers need some flexibility when booking their tickets. But with the enhanced CEB Flexi, you can just cancel your flight altogether. You can find the CEB Flexi button along with Cebu Pacific's other products like CEB prepaid baggage, CEBmeals, and CEB surfboard on the add-on page after you’ve selected your flight route and date. It can be purchased for P499, which is already inclusive of free cancellation, checked-in baggage (20 kilos), and a standard seat.
In November 2020, Cebu Pacific extended the validity of the Travel Fund. Initially, it can be used as payment within 180 days for future bookings as far as 12 months out. Eventually, it was given a validity of 12 months for flights within another year. Now, the virtual wallet is valid for 24 months. For example, you want to cancel your flight on November 30. You can convert the cost into a Travel Fund, and use it on November 29, 2023 to book a flight for November 29, 2024.
"We continue to listen and put our customers’ needs first as we work on developing products for everyJuan. We understand that while there is still a pent-up demand for travel in this new normal, plans can still change at the last-minute, and this product gives them added flexibility they need when booking flights with CEB," said Candice Iyog, Cebu Pacific Vice President for Marketing and Customer Experience.
