(SPOT.ph) In the wee hours of March 18, 1990, 13 artworks were taken from the Isabella Stewart Gardner Museum in Boston in what is dubbed the largest art theft in history. The loss? It is estimated at around U.S. $500 million—and more than three decades later, neither the paintings nor the culprits have been found.
This is the seemingly unsolvable case at the center of This is a Robbery: The World's Biggest Art Heist, the latest true-crime documentary to drop on Netflix. It follows the same four-part format that had audiences gripped when Crime Scene: The Vanishing at the Cecil Hotel came crashing into our screens so get ready to binge.

Whoops, did we forget to mention that there's a U.S. $10 million reward waiting for whoever cracks the case? Yup, it is arguably the biggest reward ever set out by a museum for a theft—and the documentary would be a good place to start your own sleuthing.
It only took two thieves to enter the Gardner museum in the dead of the night. They subdued the two night guards, spent about an hour going around the museum's wings cutting priceless canvases from their frames, and then vanished into the night. It seems almost ridiculously easy, doesn't it? And yet it sure looks like they've succeeded. You might just break the case as easily, too.
