(SPOT.ph) On March 21, the Inter-Agency Task Force for the Management of Emerging Infectious Diseases released Resolution No. 184, placing the entire Metro Manila as well as Bulacan, Cavite, Laguna, and Rizal—treated as one area and dubbed as "GCQ bubble"—under a stricter General Community Quarantine from March 22 until April 4. The announcement came with a new set of safety protocols to follow, which will have a significant impact on activities that involve leaving the house like heading to the mall and going to the grocery. To help you follow all rules and safety measures, here's a handy guide.
Here's everything you need to know when heading to the mall:
Theaters, gyms, driving schools, libraries, arcades, museums, and other cultural and entertainment centers must suspend operations, so expect arcades, cinemas, bowling alleys, and the like inside malls to be closed for the time being.
All mass gatherings—including religious ones—are prohibited, which means mall chapels will not be operating amidst the GCQ bubble.
Only those aged 18 to 65 may leave the house and be allowed enter the mall. Supervised minors below 18 or adults above 65 will be allowed to avail of essentials services. Note that the age bracket may vary slightly depending on each local government unit's own rules and regulations.
Indoor dining in restaurants are temporarily suspended, but takeout and delivery will still be available. Outdoor dining may continue to operate at 50% capacity.
Other retail establishments will remain open. Face masks and face shields are required at all times.
