(SPOT.ph) Wouldn’t you agree that listening to classic rock songs takes your stress away? Now, imagine if you can play these songs on a mobile game a la Rock Band. On March 1, this dream has come true for Queen stans: A new mobile game called Queen: Rock Tour - The Official Rhythm Game has been launched on Google Play and App Store. Aside from hearing their hits like "Bohemian Rhapsody," "We Will Rock You," and "We Are the Champions," you'd also get to "play" in various arenas and change costumes, too! Ready to make some noise? Here’s what the Queen mobile game is all about:
It is a rhythm game.
If you have ever played Rock Band or O2 Jam before, then Queen: Rock Tour is right up your alley. You need to tap tiles as they scroll towards you. Match them perfectly to maintain to score combos for your final score. Whenever you miss a tile, the band member’s sound will be disabled. The only way to reactivate him is to collect a specific amount of the same tile.
Four tiles, four band members.
There are four different tile colors for each band member: green for Freddie, blue for Brian, pink for Roger, and orange for John. The speed of the notes differ depending on the band member you are currently playing as. Read: The member selection changes mid-song, which means you get to play as each member in every song.
Tour the world.
The game lets you embark on a musical journey featuring some of the band’s earliest concert tours from the 1970s—from Houston to London. As you select a tour, a brief video showcasing Queen's photos will come up for a quick trip down memory lane.
Score combos!
The Rock Meter fills as you successfully tap tiles. When it becomes full, you can tap it to make a band member perform his Special Move that will let you gain x3 Applause score. After every performance, you will get either Silver, Gold, or Platinum Discs based on your Applause score. These discs can be then used to unlock Queen Memories.
Get some rad rig-outs!
You can use Queen Coins to score lit costumes for the band. Go to the Shop in the Studio menu, select the band member, and scroll right and left to see their available outfits. Queen Coins are earned after every performance and when you successfully finish a mission in the Achievements menu.
Additional fee means more Queen content!
The game is free to play, but you can opt to buy the full game for only P145. The game’s full version contains 17 additional Queen songs that you can play, over 40 cool outfits, 10 historical venues, and 40 memories.
