(SPOT.ph) Gwyneth Paltrow, Alicia Silverstone, and now, Anya Taylor-Joy. The Golden Globe awardee—for her role as Beth Harmon in The Queen's Gambit, of course—is the latest actress to take on the role of Jane Austen's Emma for a big-ticket remake. And trust us when we say that this updated version doesn't disappoint (and it's not just because of Taylor-Joy either!). Don't believe us? Or just need some way to rewatch this hilarious film (legally)? Then mark your calendars for when it drops on HBO Go at 9 p.m., Saturday, April 10.
What Makes Anya Taylor Joy's Emma Different?

Quick, somebody make a GIF of Taylor-Joy's Emma popping that carriage window open so we can be happy again. In case you didn't get it from the trailer, this hilarious remake is one heck of a fun ride. Remove your thoughts from the prim and proper Regency era and dive straight into the more joyous—and sensual—subtext of Austen's work.
The remake does follow the central storyline of the rich, pretty, and much-too-clever Emma Woodhouse dabbling in everybody's business but her own. Attempts at matchmaking between a newfound "friend" and a certain vicar prove to be a much bigger bite of the apple than she expected, to hilarious results. Joining Taylor-Joy in the stellar cast are Bill Nighy (yes, in a period film!), The Crown's Josh O'Connor, Miranda Hart, and more. You definitely don't want to miss out on this fun ride.
