(SPOT.ph) LINE’s BT21 has provided ARMYs with amazing fandom merch throughout the years—and they have no plans of stopping with the upcoming BT21 game POP STAR. The game is set to be released "in Asia on Q1 2021" and will be made available on both Android and iOS devices. In February, mobile game developer SundayToz has opened the Asia pre-registration for the game through Google Play Store and App Store. Curious on how this game will be like? We dug up a couple of details.

Calling all ARMYs: Here's what we know so far about the upcoming BTS game:

It is a match-three puzzle game.

The gameplay is similar to Candy Crush Saga or Bejeweled but with cute BT21 icons—you need to match three similar icons by sliding them horizontally or vertically across the board. Matching four or more icons grants you power ups with different board-clearing activities that help you achieve your mission for each stage.

You also obtain pieces of jigsaw puzzles every time you clear a stage. These pieces are what you need to complete the pages or episodes of the BT21 puzzle album. Episodes provide progress to the game’s story, and a new one gets unlocked once you’ve completed a jigsaw puzzle.

The BT21 squad is complete.

Koya, RJ, Shooky, Mang, Chimmy, Tata, Cooky, and Van are all in the game, and each of them has unique costumes and abilities that you can use in clearing stages. Do note that you need to reach certain stage levels to unlock each of them. So, you better get grinding when the game becomes available to see your fave character.

There is a Friend System.

You can share the fun with your squad, too. Add other players as your in-game friends and get to chat with them in the Club Activity. The best part of this feature is that you can give out “lives” to other players so that you can get more chances to play.

Players who have pre-registered will receive in-game bonuses once the game becomes online. SundayToz also announced that they will be releasing limited-edition profile images if the pre-registration count reaches a certain number.
