(SPOT.ph) Most people’s days are usually filled with virtual meetings, deadlines at work that keep piling up, and household duties in between. Rest seems to become a blur in work-from-home setups, but it gets better when you have something to keep your mind off the stressful bits of your day, like having a pet by your side.
Of course, not everyone can have their own furry friend, so the closest that you could get to having one is virtually. There are the likes of Adorable Home and Neko Atsume: Kitty Collector for those who want to low-key commit to taking care of a pet—and it seems like we’ve found another cute game that might just make you "paws" what you’re doing: Kitty Letter.
Its aesthetic is similar to Exploding Kittens—which isn’t surprising since the brains behind the game is no other than the Exploding Kittens and The Oatmeal web-comics creator himself, Matthew Inman, who teamed up with Double Dagger Studios' Matt Wood to develop the game. The single player campaign follows a hilarious 12-part The Oatmeal comic about a deranged cat owner who has become your new neighbor. You will see a set of letters at the bottom of your screen, which you must swipe to come up with as many words as you can (à la Wordscapes, the word-hunt game app that’s similar to Boggle and a crossword puzzle). The longer the word you come up with, the more armies of cats will join you in either attacking your neighbor’s base or protecting your own. It can easily be played on one thumb—no complicated controls here.
There is also a Versus Mode where you can test your vocabulary and duke it out against other players online. Best part? The app is free and you can find it on the App Store and Google Play.
