(SPOT.ph) Sweetened coffee is always a treat, but it's on a whole new level when coffee and salted caramel come together. The latter's deep, buttery, and savory-sweet profile works wonders with coffee's robust flavor—the two are practically made for each other, in our book. If you're curious about the combo and don't know where to start, we've got good news: Starbucks is coming out with new salted caramel drinks that will be available for a limited time, starting February 23!
For creamy coffee fans, there's the Salted Caramel Cloud Macchiato (P185/Tall, P200/Grande, P215/Venti)— a special drink with espresso sweetened with vanilla syrup then topped with a fluffy whipped-milk foam and a drizzle of caramel sauce. It's a light and foamy new way to get your macchiato fix, and is available hot and iced! If you're looking for a more straightforward coffee fix, try the Salted Caramel Cold Brew (P180/Tall, P195/Grande, P210/Venti), which has Starbucks' signature cold brew, salted-caramel cold foam, and a caramel drizzle.
Meatless folks, you'll be happy to know that they'll be introducing two new plant-based items as well. For your Mexican hankerings, you can go for the vegetarian-friendly Taco Empanada (P140) with a baked corn tortilla filled with a plant-based ground patty and cheese. Alternatively, there's also the vegan-friendly Breakfast Danish (P140), which has plant-based cold cuts and cheese in a light and flaky crust.
Got a sweet tooth? Starbucks has new desserts coming your way, too. The Cherry Blossom Cake (P195/slice, P1,560/whole) gives you a dose of the fruit in three forms—cherry cake, crushed-cherry filling, and cherry cream—while the Calamansi Cheesecake (P195/slice, P1,950/whole) is a citrusy treat that pairs great with any of Starbucks' coffees. If it's a flaky bite you crave, go for the vanilla custard cream-filled Napoleones (P95); and if it's chocolate that makes you swoon, try the Chocolate Cookie Sandwich (P60).
These eats and drinks will be available for a limited time starting February 23. You can drop by your nearby Starbucks branch or order via GrabFood—just note that prices vary on the app.
